Born from necessity in a Nairobi classroom, these trestles carry the DNA of purposeful design. When architect Kristian Vedel encountered furniture-starved students at the University of Nairobi, his response was characteristically direct: create what's needed, refined to its essence.

The folding mechanism reveals the intelligence beneath — storage becomes effortless, space transforms on demand. Straight lines and clear geometry speak to Vedel's architectural eye, while the remarkable corner bridle joints showcase craftsmanship that borders on ceremony. Each polished metal fitting serves as both functional necessity and subtle ornament, marking quality without pretense.

Following Northern European tradition, the oak is treated with natural oil rather than polyurethane — a finish that reveals the grain beautifully and lets the wood breathe. Complete your piece with our tabletops, available in two lengths and sold separately.
