Washi Paper Incense Strips
From Awaji Island, Japan's historic center of incense-making, these paper strips blend traditional craft with modern simplicity. Created by Kunjudo, an artisan house that has refined their practice since 1893, each piece balances heritage with a modern sensibility.
Within each box lie 30 delicate washi paper strips, each infused with carefully balanced natural essences. The strips feature contemplative phrases like “Deep Breath” and “Sweet Dreams” - perfect as scented notes in correspondence or for personal moments of pause.
Available in several scent profiles:
#1 - a soothing blend of jasmine, rose, sandalwood, vanilla and coriander.
#2 - a warm blend of agarwood, patchouli, vanilla, frankincense and vetiver.
#3 - a fresh blend of bergamot, vanilla, tea tree, musk amber and clove.
#4 - a relaxing blend of sandalwood, cedarwood, eucalyptus, amber and patchouli.
#5 - a comforting blend of cinnamon, clove, benzoin, ryunou and amber.
To use: Secure the metal clip to the strip's base and light its free end. Extinguish the flame and let the paper smolder gently. Rest horizontally on any non-flammable surface, using the clip as a stand. Each strip offers a five-minute aromatic interlude.
Made in Awaji, Japan by Kunjudo. Distributed in the U.S. by Morihata.
