Karel Martens

Karel Martens is a Dutch graphic designer (b. 1939), co-founder of Werkplaats Typografie and a longtime teacher at Yale. He is known for letterpress monoprints struck from found metal type: geometric compositions that run across his calendars, prints, and monographs, many published by Roma Publications. Wms&Co. carries a wide range of his work.
