Portuguese Scented Pencils by Viarco

Viarco has been making pencils in Portugal since 1907. These come from a different impulse than most of their catalog — a collection built entirely around memory. Each cedar wood pencil carries a scent drawn from the backyards and gardens of rural Portugal: Orange Flower, Fig Tree, Lavender. The fragrance releases when the pencil is sharpened, briefly and without insistence — the kind of thing that stops you for a moment before you carry on.
