Hako Soji Wooden Containers: 3 sizes
Some containers hold things. The Hako Soji does that and then sits on your shelf looking like someone made a very deliberate decision about what a container should be — because they did. Designed by Mute Studio and hand turned in the Yamanaka Onsen lacquerware tradition, the richly colored red lid and natural wood base are simple enough to feel inevitable. At home on a desk, a bathroom shelf, or a kitchen counter. Three sizes; one very considered decision about what a container should look like. Made to order for Wms&Co., quantities are limited.
Founded in Ishikawa in 1930 by Unomatsu Hata, Hatashikki is a family-run business now led by Hata Manabu — three generations into the craft, with their original handcraft wood and urushi lacquer techniques intact.
