Coolicon Standard Pendant Lamp, Original Size
First drawn for a patent application in 1933, the Standard Coolicon has spent nearly a century earning its place — on the factory floor, in the workshop, in Winston Churchill's wartime bunker kitchen. A design that needed no revision then, and needs none now.
The same 15-step wet enameling process, worked in small batches by craftspeople operating closer to a studio pottery than a manufacturer. The vented top gallery, the original innovation, still does exactly what it was designed to do: ambient light pools upward, task light falls clean below.
