Black Mino Yaki Long Catchall

$56.00

Black glaze meets dark clay, each piece handcrafted and emerging from the kiln with its own subtle character. The kind of understated variation that comes from fire and the maker's hand.

This elongated form adapts to your life: pencils on your desk, makeup brushes in the bathroom, kitchen tools by the stove, keys by the door. That generous length makes it naturally versatile while the dark glaze grounds any space.

Mino ware carries centuries of Japanese ceramic tradition from Gifu Prefecture's Tono region. The Hyosankama kiln has a long history of pottery production, and ceramicist Kudo Kou continues that lineage. Training under his father Rikuo, he became a certified traditional mino ware craftsman in 2005.

Approximately 12" x 4.5". Glazed ceramic. Made in Japan.

Part of our Japanese Minimalism collection.

These carefully chosen and crafted pieces represent a considered mix of the esoteric and the highly pragmatic. Many of these simple things reflect the hand of the artisan or the quiet genius of the inventor. They are useful in ways that are difficult to quantify but, if pressed, we would say they make life a little more efficient and a lot more beautiful.
