G. Lalo Mode De Paris Notecards
A boxed set of French correspondence notecards, from a house whose reputation has stayed as quiet as it started. Georges Lalo founded G. Lalo in Paris in 1920, supplying handcrafted stationery to the royal courts of Sweden, Holland, Belgium, and Monaco. A century on, it remains one of the standard-bearers of Parisian stationery.
The set arrives in a boxed edition under the house's Mode de Paris name, in a pale, cool grey, with an oval gold foil crest lettered across the lid. The card stock, in the same tone, carries a fine laid finish — faintly ridged, with the subtle feel of handmade paper — and takes fountain pen ink cleanly. 300 gsm Verge de France card stock, deckled edges, fountain pen friendly. Thirty cards, thirty tissue-lined envelopes. Quiet stationery for people who don't need to say so.
