Sandra Simonson Wrapped Stones

$60.00

Nature meets artistry in these thoughtfully curated river rocks, each one hand-wrapped in leather by artisan Sandra Simonson from Walla Walla, Washington. These pieces transform humble stones into functional sculptures that ground both space and spirit.

Each rock is uniquely shaped by time and water, then elevated through Simonson's meticulous leather work – creating objects that serve as paperweights, bookends, doorstops, or simply as meditative touchstones on your desk. The natural variations in both stone and leather ensure that no two pieces are identical, making each one a distinctive work of art.

Available in four sizes, from an intimate palm-sized medium to a commanding XXL presence, these pieces speak to those who value the intersection of natural beauty and purposeful craft. They represent a dialogue between raw geology and refined handicraft – equally at home in a minimalist office, an artist's studio, or as an anchoring element in your carefully curated living space.

Medium, 2.75"
Large, 3.75"
ExtraLarge 4.5"
XXL 5.75"
All sizes are approximate as each stone is unique.

As a self-described rocksmith, Sandra Simonson transforms river stones into objects of contemplation and utility. Her lifelong connection to geology began in childhood, collecting stones that caught her eye. Today, she honors each rock's inherent character through thoughtful embellishment, working with leather to create singular pieces that blur the line between found object and artisanal craft.

These carefully chosen and crafted pieces represent a considered mix of the esoteric and the highly pragmatic. Many of these simple things reflect the hand of the artisan or the quiet genius of the inventor. They are useful in ways that are difficult to quantify but, if pressed, we would say they make life a little more efficient and a lot more beautiful.

We would be great together -
