Ofelia Notebook: Black
Closed, it is a single block of black. The Ofelia Notebook in Black is a soft cover notebook by Labobratori, made in Spain, with its pages edged in black on all three sides, so the white of the paper appears only when the notebook is opened.
The binding is open: thread-sewn in 16-page quires, the bookbinder's way, with the stitching left in plain view at the spine. It lies flat at a full 180 degrees and stays there. The cover is soft to the touch and entirely matte, with a small debossed mark as its only ornament. A monolith, in notebook size.
The pages are blank 90gsm paper from Fedrigoni, the Italian mill well over a century deep in the subject: uncoated, smooth, and a natural white with no optical brighteners.
