The graphic composition and modern coloration of these note pads evoke the lyrical forms of Hans Arp and the cut-outs of Henri Matisse. Riso printed chestnut on ochre colored paper stock, each side of the pad hand-edged in majorelle blue. Ivory glue along the top edge allows for easy tear-off. Hand-printed, edged and bound in a small Iowa studio by Moglea.
Meg and Chad Gleason have been running letterpress, foil stamping, and die-cut work on antique presses since 2012 — a small, rigorous, joyful operation, and it shows.
