SoSo Japanese Wall Clock: Orange

$145.00

The SoSo draws from the visual vocabulary of early modernism — bold color, clean geometry, numerals gathered close to center with a generous margin breathing around them — and softens it just enough for the spaces we actually live in. The orange here isn't a provocation. It's warm-spectrum, quietly saturated, the kind of color that reads as cheerful without demanding attention. The pale plywood rim tempers it with its own natural warmth, grounding with an ease that feels equally at home in a kitchen, a studio, or an office.

Designed by Lemnos in collaboration with Awatsuji — an all female Tokyo studio founded by sisters Misa and Maki Awatsuji — and made by Takata Lemnos, a Japanese manufacturer whose roots in careful craft go back to the 1970s and whose work has earned multiple Good Design Awards.

Silent movement. Plywood and glass. Battery operated (AA, not included). 10" diameter × 1.9" depth. Made in Japan.

These carefully chosen and crafted pieces represent a considered mix of the esoteric and the highly pragmatic. Many of these simple things reflect the hand of the artisan or the quiet genius of the inventor. They are useful in ways that are difficult to quantify but, if pressed, we would say they make life a little more efficient and a lot more beautiful.
