Fettu Bookends
The Fettu bookends are inspired by the organic, ribbon-like forms of fettuccine. Wide enough to have a nice bite and substantial enough to maintain its form, the Fettu is equal parts playful and grounding. Rhythmic in form, its sculptural tendencies disguise its function, allowing it to serve as bookends or an art object. Crafted from a single piece of stoneware, they fold upon themselves with an air of effortless poise. Their allure lies in their playful simplicity—captivating whether cradling books or standing alone.
Virginia Sin, the artist behind these creations, works from her studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. As a woman of AAAPI heritage, Sin infuses each handmade piece with a sense of purpose and grace.
Sin is guided by a vision of creating "Things you can nest with. Things made slow. With two bare hands. Things worth sharing. Or hoarding. Things that help you find home, wherever you are." This ethos permeates every aspect of her work, from conception to execution. See our collection of her work here.
