These whimsical sandstone boxes by Lorraine Grouvel marry playful form with refined craftsmanship. Available in tall and wide variations, each piece is hand-modeled, resulting in organic textures that evoke natural formations. The raw, tactile surfaces in a creamy off-white finish accentuate their sculptural quality, with rhythmic Pincée textures that dance across their exteriors. Spherical finials atop the removable lids add a touch of whimsy. Whether used as decorative objects or vessels for cherished items, these creations delight the eye and engage the senses.

Grouvel, the Franco-Canadian ceramist behind Apollonie Céramique, began her journey with clay in 2014. Now based in Paris, she crafts stoneware and porcelain creations that embody a universe of sobering fragility and honest expression. Her work invites contemplation of the relationship between object and space, bringing a touch of Parisian atelier sensibility to each piece.
