Washi Paper Incense Strips

These Washi Paper Incense Strips are made in the original birthplace of incense, Awaji Island, by an incense manufacturing company with a rich heritage dating back to 1893.

Each box contains 30 strips of incense steeped in a blend of natural fragrances, along with a metal clip to hold the incense as it burns. On each individual strip are printed phrases such as "Deep Breath" or "Sweet Dreams." Slip one into a gift or card as an aromatic affirmation, or enjoy this as incense to brighten your day.

Available in several scent profiles:

#1  - a soothing blend of jasmine, rose, sandalwood, vanilla and coriander.

#2  - a warm blend of agarwood, patchouli, vanilla, frankincense and vetiver.

#3 - a fresh blend of bergamot, vanilla, tea tree, musk amber and clove.

#4  - a relaxing blend of sandalwood, cedarwood, eucalyptus, amber and patchouli.

#5  - a comforting blend of cinnamon, clove, benzoin, ryunou and amber.

To use: Attach the included metal clip to the bottom of a strip of incense, then light the free end of the incense. Blow out the flame, leaving the paper strip to smolder, then set the incense down on a flat, non-flammable surface, using the open ends of the clip as a stand. Each strip burns for approximately 5 minutes, releasing its fragrance into the air.

These carefully chosen and crafted pieces represent a considered mix of the esoteric and the highly pragmatic. Many of these simple things reflect the hand of the artisan or the quiet genius of the inventor. They are useful in ways that are difficult to quantify but, if pressed, we would say they make life a little more efficient and a lot more beautiful.

We would be great together -
