Kousaido: Japanese Incense from Kyoto

Natural Japanese incense sticks from Kousaido, a Kyoto incense maker established in 1994. The collection brings together single-wood incense in Japanese cypress (hinoki), Kitayama cedarwood, red pine and camphor, the Waboku forest bathing set, and a clear glass incense holder.

Each stick is the wood powder and essential oil of a single tree, soft in scent and rooted in Kyoto's seasons and literature. A forest is a layered smell, and here the layers are yours to separate.
