Ronan Bouroullec: Triptyque

$150.00

The first book to gather Ronan Bouroullec's work: drawings, sculptures and ceramics, alongside objects and design projects...

In 2023, as villa Noailles marked its centenary, they invited Bouroullec to present three exhibitions: "Daily Drawings" at the Hôtel des Arts in Toulon, "Hands to Clay" at the Galerie du Canon, and "Recent Productions" at villa Noailles. The invitation took form as a triptych reflecting Bouroullec's creative approach, where unfolding forms, perspective, and the arrangement of visual planes occupy central focus. The book's design extends this concept. Here, Bouroullec's three daily practices find common ground: drawing, clay work—expressed through ceramic sculptures, vessels, and architectural reliefs—and object design and site projects, including the renovation of the Saint-Michel chapel in Brasparts.

Ronan Bouroullec moves between art and design with quiet intention. Working both independently and with his brother Erwan, he develops forms that speak to material and space. His drawing practice, begun in 2004, functions as a daily exploration where ideas drift between medium and scale. This routine, paired with his work in ceramics, shapes objects that consider both tactile presence and spatial relationships. Bouroullec's work, from ceramics to architectural projects, carries traces of his drawn line into physical space.
